Our last stop in New Zealand was Auckland.
One of the first things we did here was the Weta Workshop. I know, I know. We did this already in Wellington. Well, we loved it so much that we decided to do the Auckland one as well. This one had a focus on world-building and Jimmy and I, additionally, took a creative workshop together as a birthday gift to him.
The next day was Jimmy’s 13th birthday, so we celebrated by spending an afternoon doing Virtual Reality at the Thrill Zone and then had dinner at the Sky Tower.
On our last day, we packed, did laundry, and stocked up on some supplies before we left for our next country.
We finished earlier than expected, so we spent the rest of the day at the nearby Botanical Garden.
New Zealand was everything everyone has said about it. It’s totally worth a trip. It was easy to get around. The people are lovely. The food is good. The mountains, the rivers, the waterfalls, the coastline, the beaches, all of it is glorious.
We will be back.
